I. Molecular mechanisms of regulatory RNAs in plants
Post-transcriptional gene silencing (PTGS) is a regulatory mechanism that target and degrade aberrant endogenous RNAs and foreign RNAs, contributing to homeostasis of cellular RNAs. We use PORI reporter system that can monitor PTGS, to discover components involved in the process.
II. Regulatory RNA-mediated genetic networks governing cell fate and patterning
We are also interested in regulatory RNA-mediated molecular processes bolstering the complexity of cell fate specification and patterning.
